Welcome to our Roaring Fork Valley Field Guide. We are 6th graders in Mark Munger's science classes at Aspen Middle School, Aspen, Colorado. We have been studying the ecosystems of the Roaring Fork Valley watershed. Our study goes from the top of Independence Pass (12,095 ft.) to Glenwood Springs, Colorado (5,763 ft.). This website includes descriptions of the ecosystems in the valley, natural processes that take place all over the earth, hazards to some Colorado areas, maps of many important points in the valley, and a glossary.
